Development
Medical Murray has adopted Agile Methods for conducting the development of medical devices. Personal communication, iterative and incremental development and progress measured by completed features are the main characteristics of this method. This process allows for greatly diminished risks for both parties, allows the product to be developed faster and results in a more robust design. Close customer involvement (including early and frequent feedback from you) means that changes invariably encountered in new development can be integrated smoothly and quickly.

Prototyping
Early prototypes are built in our extensive prototype laboratory that is stocked with tubing, adhesives, and mandrels, and equipped with joining, tipping, welding, bonding, braiding, winding and molding equipment. Combined with fast turn-around vendors, this allows us to quickly make and change prototypes to prove concepts early.

Pilot Production
Pilot production devices are built in one of our ISO class 7 cleanrooms located in our North Barrington facility, which is entirely dedicated to development. These builds are completed using released documentation and materials, and are used to support design and process validation testing, animal trials, clinical trials and market release. Pilot production provides a smooth transition to full production in our Lake Zurich facility.
