How do you manage a project?
We have several development engineering teams, all supported by a technical services team. Your project will be assigned to a development team, which will determine what services are required for your project, and assign them to the team member most experienced with that service. The team leader and assigned project engineer will be your primary contacts.
How do you price your services?
We can conduct projects on a time and materials or fixed price basis depending on how well the requirements can be defined.
How can I be sure that my money will be spent wisely on a time and materials basis?
We, meaning you and Medical Murray, clearly define the project goals before we start anything. We cannot start a project without a clear definition of what a "success" looks like. Once you approve the goals, we will develop a detailed proposal defining the goals, and the methods we will use to meet those goals. Typically, our proposals identify the phases of efforts (e.g.: design, prototype, testing, etc) that must occur, as well as the deliverables for each phase. Although the schedule for communicating with you about your project is completely up to you, on larger development projects, we like to touch base with you by phone weekly to keep you up to date on our progress as well as any challenges we meet. In addition, we invoice weekly so that you can frequently check on how much of your money has been spent and for what services.
Who makes the final decisions on my project?
You do! You may stop, redirect or cancel your project at anytime, and you are responsible only for the work done up to that point.
Who owns the intellectual property developed from the projects?
You the customer own all rights resulting from the project. These developments will be assigned to you without any additional payment.
Will you manufacture the device you design for me?
Medical Murray can manufacture your product, or locate a manufacturing source, or transfer to a manufacturer of your choice.
What if I just want you to design the device but not manufacture it? Will you do that?
Yes, we do not require you to give us the manufacturing business in order to give you the design effort. When we are finished, we will transfer all designs, processes and techniques to your designated company. In addition, we will train that company completely in anything we developed.
How long has Medical Murray been in business?
Medical Murray was founded in 1980, with current ownership since 1996.
