Manufacturing Capabiltites
Our manufacturing operation excels in making complex disposable medical devices and implants using unique injection molding assembly techniques, composite catheter assembly equipment, custom developed equipment and trained operators. We don’t make any of our own products, only OEM produced components and devices.

We rely on many vendors that have proven their reliability for quality and delivery performance. These vendors’ quality systems are routinely reviewed and only those that can meet our standards are used for supply of our production components. Some of the critical purchased items include extruded tubing, laser cutting, bioabsorbable polymers, packaging, marker bands, Nitinol and stainless steel wire and sterilization of finished product. |
Disposable catheters are a specialty. These include laminated composites with low friction liners, braid, coil or longitudinal reinforcement, special tips, radiopaque markers and formed tips. We do in-house molding of luers onto catheters and overmolded transitions from multi-lumen to single lumen. Urethane, nylon and urethane balloons are integrated into catheters for special applications. |
Our small Sesame and Sumitomo injection molding machines along with our experience in insert molding very small devices provide the capability to insert mold components for catheters and other applications. Examples include marker bands insert molded into catheter tips, radiopaque metal/urethane insert molded tips, multi-material molded components, bioabsorbable staples and fasteners, etc. Since the injection system on the Sesame machine can be filled with 3 grams of materials, very high cost materials can be molded with minimal material loss. |
A range of standard assembly process equipment allows us to produce assemblies using a variety of methods such as ultrasonic and spin welding, heat staking, shrink film and adhesive bonding. We also offer in-line printing by laser and pad printing. |

Medical Murray has the equipment and experience for final packaging with sealed trays, pouches (foil or Tyvek), chip board boxes and labeling to FDA and ISO standards. Bioabsorbable materials are packaged using vacuum – nitrogen back filling of foil pouches. We routinely ship final packaged product for EO and gamma sterilization. |
